Modern Todo ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by Md. Rahul Reza, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles user information and data.
By using Modern Todo, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Modern Todo is built with an offline-first approach. Your privacy is our top priority. We do NOT collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your personal tasks, notes, categories, or sensitive information on any external cloud servers. All your task data remains stored exclusively on your local device.
What is stored: Task titles, descriptions, due dates, priority levels, categories, tags, subtasks, and completion status.
Where it is stored: Exclusively on your device using a secure local SQLite database. We have no access to this data.
We do not collect any personal identification information (PII), device identifiers, IP addresses, or tracking cookies.
Modern Todo requests only the minimum permissions necessary to provide its core features:
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS):
Used solely to deliver scheduled reminders and alerts for tasks you set. Reminders are generated and triggered locally on your device.
Exact Alarms & Schedule Alarms:
Used to trigger task reminders precisely at the time you specify.
Storage / File Access (Optional):
Used only when you choose to create a manual backup or restore your task database to/from your device storage.
If you purchase the Pro version of Modern Todo, all financial transactions and payment details are processed directly and securely by Google Play Billing (Google LLC). We do not receive, process, or store your credit card numbers, bank details, or billing information.
Modern Todo uses trusted standard libraries that operate locally on your device:
Google Play Services / Google Play In-App Billing: For app distribution and optional in-app purchases. (Google Play Privacy Policy)
Google Fonts: For modern typography rendered within the app.
We do not use third-party analytics trackers, advertising networks, or data brokers.
Local Control: Because all data resides locally on your device, you have full ownership and control over your data.
Backup & Export: You can export your data into a JSON backup file at any time and store it wherever you choose (e.g., local storage, Google Drive). We never see or hold copies of your backups.
Data Deletion: Uninstalling the app or clearing the app data in your device settings will permanently remove all your data from the device.
Modern Todo does not address anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
