To provide its core functions, Meal Rate may request the following device permissions:
1. **Storage / File Access (Optional / On-Demand):**
- *Purpose:* Required only when you explicitly choose to **Save JSON Backup to Phone Storage**, **Upload / Restore a Backup File**, or **Export PDF / CSV Reports**.
- *Access:* The app only reads or writes the files you select or create within your device's storage.
2. **Notifications (Optional):**
- *Purpose:* To deliver local scheduled notifications reminding you to log daily meals and bazar expenses at your chosen times.
- *Note:* Notifications are generated purely locally on your device; no external push notification servers are used.
3. **In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing / Apple App Store):**
- *Purpose:* Allows you to upgrade to **Meal Rate Pro** subscriptions to unlock automated local background backups and enhanced reporting features.
- *Billing Data:* All payment transactions are processed directly and securely through Google Play Billing (Google LLC) or Apple App Store (Apple Inc.). We never collect, process, or store your payment details, credit card numbers, or banking credentials.
