This page summarises the status and progress for this programme of work.
All possible designations have now been completed, subject to installation of the posts and signage - at which time the successful designations come into effect.

Scope: Snape & Glemsford Parish
Status: Proposals of Designation completed without objection.
Timeline: Formal Notice of Designation was published in the East Anglian Daily Times 15 March. Signage installations complete
Scope: 16 Parishes with 51 route nominations - see Wave 1 page for individual parish status
Status: Public consultation finished 15 March with a few contested representations which have been formally reviewed. All nominations have been successfully designated. Signage designs completed and it is believed that all SCC Highways contractor installation workpacks implemented.
Timeline: Formal public consultation was issued 22 February 2021. SCC Highways official designation approved, signage completed.
Scope: 47 Parishes proposing 116 routes, comprised of 147 individual lanes - see Wave 2 proposals of designation page for details
Status: Wave 2 scope confirmed and Notice of Proposals in progress as per the plan. All proposals except for Denston have been recommended for designation by SCC Highways - Denston entries to be re-submitted as part of Wave 3. Signage designs completed, and self-help installation of signage process has been agreed and implemented for volunteers to install those signs using existing posts.
Timeline: Notice of Designations were published in the EADT on Mon 24 May with representations returned by 14 June. All nominations were successfully approved by SCC Councillors.
Scope: All the Parishes which have completed parish consultation and necessary details by 4 August have been included in this batch of proposals.
NB. All remaining nominations, including those requiring a traffic survey, have the opportunity to be considered in a final Wave 4.
Status: Formal proposals for nomination were published in the EADT on Mon 23 August.
Timeline: Parishes to have consulted and held their open meetings to formally confirm their nominations by 31 July. SCC Notice of Proposals for Designation ran from 23 August through to 13 September. SCC Highways report completed and Cllrs signed off the successful designations. SCC-H scheme designs complete. Sub-contractor post installations complete, awaiting signs to be erected by parish volunteers.
Scope: All the remaining Parishes and lanes which have successfully completed any required traffic survey and parish consultation documented before the deadline
Status: All the requested traffic surveys have been completed during September & October 2021 with relevant parish leads notified of the result and Highways recommendation whether they are suitable to proceed or not. The final consolidated list of all outstanding lane nominations, including those to be recorded in a backlog list for potential future funding and consideration.
Timeline: Parishes to have consulted and held their open meetings to formally confirm their nominations by 22 January 2022. SCC Notice of Proposals for Designation will follow in Feb/Mar 2022, with decision on successful designations to be confirmed Spring 2022 around the time of the programme public launch once more signage has been put in place for previous waves.
