2016-12-23 Mr. Charles Tang is invited to give a poster presentation "Can a computer be conscious?" at 8th International Workshop on Solid-state Quantum Computing & Mini-School on Quantum Information Science. The answer to the titled question is: no for current (classical) computer, but yes for quantum computer. Mathematics is used to define consciousness; Mathematics is also used to prove that consciousness can be computed by quantum computers.
