There are two available methods of applying materials to a newly imported .pdb layer:
When the first option is chosen, each residue gets its own material from the list, in order of appearing in the underlying .pdb file. If another layer already contains atoms with the same residue name, they are assigned the same material. If the number of different residues is greater than number of materials on the list, they will be cyclically repeated.
When the second option is chosen, each chain gets its own material from the list, in order of appearing in the underlying .pdb file. If the number of chains is greater than number of materials on the list, they will be cyclically repeated.
If coloring method is changed, all material tags are removed and assigned anew. This allows user to switch dynamically between different coloring schemes.
After successfully importing a new layer, material tags are visible in Object Manager and in Content Browser and thus can be simply modified.
