Central idea
Through their critical thinking and collaborative effort, the Galactic Guardians research team finalized their unit matrix for the PYP exhibition. As they follow a deductive approach, they are currently focusing on building strong lines of inquiry and exploring various PYP elements. The central idea will emerge organically from their research findings towards the conclusion of their project.
In a stimulating learning experience, students embarked on a field trip to the Birla Science Museum and Planetarium. This immersive exploration provided them with the opportunity to delve into the scientific principles underlying satellite launches. Through interactive exhibits and detailed models, they gained a deeper understanding of the diverse types of satellites and the intricate mechanisms that propel them into space.

Embarking on an intellectual voyage, learners embarked on a deep exploration of scientific principles. Delving into Newton's Laws of Motion, the Law of Inertia, and the intricacies of gravitational forces, they unraveled the scientific mechanisms that govern the launch of satellites. This profound understanding empowered them to grasp the complex interplay of forces that propel these marvels of technology into space.
In their quest for deeper understanding, students are embarking on a journey of exploration through diverse secondary sources. Utilizing academic journals, articles, documentaries, historical archives, and online resources, they delve into the nuances of their chosen topic. By critically evaluating these sources and synthesizing the information, they gain a richer understanding, encounter different perspectives, and gather supporting evidence to solidify their learning. This active engagement with secondary sources empowers them to become independent learners and build a strong foundation for their inquiry.
Thinkers of Galactic Guardians group used their critical thinking skills to develop the prototype of the vehicle to collect the space debris from the outer orbit in Space. They developed it digitally using the app Notes.
Ted Talks by rocket scientists helped the learners of Galactic Guardians group to dig deeper into the effects of space debris on the environment.
