PYP 5 learners kicked off their PYP Exhibition journey by pooling their insights in a group exercise. They explored the "what, why, and how" of the exhibition, sharing ideas and perspectives. This collaborative effort boosted their understanding and set the stage for an exciting exploration ahead.  

As students, we were recently asked to reflect on the phrase "Worldwise Learners" and share the words that came to mind. Here's what resonated with us:  

Curiosity: Driving our quest for knowledge and understanding. Empathy: Fostering connections and embracing diverse perspectives. Adaptability: Navigating change with resilience and innovation. Open-mindedness: Welcoming new ideas and cultures with humility. Global Citizenship: Recognizing our role in making a positive impact on the world.  

These words encapsulate our commitment to lifelong learning and responsible global engagement. As Worldwise Learners, we embrace the richness of our collective experiences and strive to shape a more inclusive and equitable world through education.  

We are thrilled to share an exciting aspect of our journey as we prepare for the upcoming Primary Years Programme Exhibition (PYPX). In an embodiment of student and teacher agency, we recently had the privilege of collectively selecting the logo that will represent our event – a symbol of our shared vision, creativity, and collaboration. 

The process began with vibrant brainstorming sessions where students contributed ideas for the logo. These sessions were marked by an incredible display of creativity, with a diverse range of concepts emerging, each reflecting our class's unique personality and the themes we aim to explore during our PYPX journey. 

Next, we embarked on the engaging task of narrowing down our options. Through democratic voting procedures, every member of our learning community had the opportunity to voice their preferences and play a pivotal role in the decision-making process. It was a testament to the principles of student and teacher agency as we collectively worked towards selecting the logo that best encapsulated the essence of our event. 

After careful consideration and thoughtful deliberation, we are proud to unveil the chosen logo for our PYPX. This logo embodies the spirit of our learning community and serves as a visual representation of our shared journey towards discovery, inquiry, and meaningful learning experiences. The experience of selecting our PYPX logo was more than just a design decision – it was a demonstration of the power of collaboration, empowerment, and ownership within our learning environment. It reinforces our commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity, participation, and student-led initiatives as we prepare for the culmination of our Primary Years Programme. 

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of our team and the expertise of the Bright Champ team, our ideas have transformed from mere concepts to tangible realities. Through engaging discussions, meticulous planning, and hands-on assistance, we've brought our vision to life. Their guidance has been invaluable every step of the way, empowering us to achieve our goals and make a meaningful impact.
