Toronto Maple Leafs pipeline

The Toronto Maple Leafs pipeline is currently ranked 19th by Puck Pipeline. You cannot begin describing the Leafs farm system without acknowledging the loss of Rodion Amirov, who passed away in August of 2023. This loss of life was tragic for all parties involved. Rodion was the 15th overall selection in the 2020 NHL draft; a highly talented two-way forward out of Russia who thrived at every level he ever played in. This was a significant loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. With that being said, the Leafs have been able to draft well in recent years. Matthew Knies was a 2nd round pick in 2021, and is now their top-line left winger. Easton Cowan has been a revelation for the pipeline, a type of prospect that the Leafs haven't had since the Matthews-Marner-Nylander drafts. Nikita Grebyonkin is another player which the Leafs have seemingly hit a home-run on. Toronto has also drafted a pair of stud goaltenders in recent drafts, that being Artur Akhtyamov and Dennis Hildeby. Pair that with Joseph Woll, and the Leafs may have finally found that home-grown goalie that the market has been dying for.
