Philadelphia Flyers pipeline

The Philadelphia Flyers farm system is ranked 4th by Puck Pipeline. Philadelphia was really the story of the 2023-24 NHL season, as they surprised everyone and were in playoff contention for the entirety of the season, before collapsing in the final two weeks. The Flyers made a significant strategic choice by still selling at the deadline despite being in contention for one of the final playoff spots. Although they are likely to regress back down to what we all think they are, Philadelphia has a lot to look forward to, mainly in the form of Matvei Michkov, who has finally arrived in the NHL. The Flyers have seemingly always lacked strength between the pipes, but having the combination of Yegor Zavragin and Aleksei Kolosov in the wings is very promising. The Flyers were dealt a curveball with the Cutter Gauthier situation, for-which they did a tidy job of pivoting off of him and picking up Jamie Drysdale, along with a second round pick.
