Uherské Hradiště, a town in the Zlín region, has about 25 thousand inhabitants. The town was founded in 1257 and its town centre is well preserved. It is the centre of the cultural region of Moravian Slovakia. It is known for its folklore, traditions, music and production of wine.
Základní škola a Mateřská škola, Uherské Hradiště, Větrná 1063, příspěvková organizace was opened in 1992. It consists of two bodies: basic school (about 400 pupils) and kindergarten (about 180 children) and lies in Mařatice, a town part of Uherské Hradiště.
