NUR 472 - Population Health:
The Triple Aim for Populations is a framework developed by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). This framework offers a simple approach for improving care quality, equity, and reducing overall cost. As part of the course, I completed an online module at the IHI to learn about the new initiative to reform healthcare in America. I was introduced to the idea of meeting communities "upstream" to prevent illness. As a proponent of this framework, I am an advocate for the improvement of institutions of health, social, religious, and governmental institutions within communities. Additionally, I am an advocate for the allocation of funds towards public health campaigns/initiatives as a means of primary prevention.
