In a simulation, I identified safety breaches in the client's room. I pointed out that the patient was missing a call light, an ID band, and the side rails were not raised. This action promotes safety and reduces liability.

NUR 463 - Care of the Complex Patient:

Complex care is built upon foundational courses necessary for informed clinical practice. I applied my nursing knowledge and skills to care for a client with worsening chronic health issues. Over the semester, I led and participated in scenarios for the treatment of pneumonia, respiratory distress, cardiac dysrhythmias, shock, and end-of-life care. As an accountable decision-maker, I performed focused assessments and prioritized care based on objective and subjective assessment findings.
