Autobiography
When I was an elementary school student, I was interested in English because I
met a nice English teacher. She always encouraged me to watch foreign movies such
as Shrek. From then on, I wanted to learn more English vocabulary so that I could
enjoy more English movies and stories.
After I became a junior high school student, l was bombarded with many
English tests. During that period of time, those tests bored me, so kept thinking about how to make English classes more interesting. Indeed, I wanted to be an English teacher in the future. To be an English teacher required professional English competence. In order to polish my English skills, I chose to study at the Department of Applied English of New Taipei Industrial Vocational High School.
In my senior high school life, I took part in many English activities. For example,
I took part in an English project contest of our school, the topic of which is You Should Watch LLKK Internet TV Service-a new TV Viewing Habit. Surprisingly, our team member and I got the first place in the English project contest. From this experience, I knew how to
cooperate with each other and how to compose a basic outline of an English paper.
Moreover, I was a guitar club leader in my school. As a leader, I wanted to better my
guitar skills. Therefore, I had to watched many guitar instructional video clips in English .From these video clips, I was aware of many guitar terminologies such as Fingerstyle. Besides, those videos also motivate me to learn English. As a whole, my senior high school life was
challenging but meaningful.
After graduation from senior high school, it would be my honor to be admitted
to your department, and I will take courses related to English teaching to enhance my
professionalism. At my sophomore year, I will attend the teacher training program. I hope that
one day I will be an English teacher in a senior high school and help students discover the world with the lingua franca in the global village – English.
