My name is Tom Lin. I graduated from National Kaohsiung Normal University, the applied English program.
As far as teaching experience is concerned, I had 10 year’s teaching experience, including comprehensive high school, vocational high school, and junior high school. I had the experience of homeroom teacher for 7 years.
Talking about certificate, I have a license of computer for advanced level. I designed the web page for my office when I was in Shan-shin. At that time, I also volunteered to be the speaker of our on-line teaching material about tourism English. As for language test, I got 930 on TOEIC test.
Most important of all, I like to be with teenagers. That’s the reason why I chose to be a teacher. As a teacher, we can teach them what is right from what is wrong. And we can learn a lot from them as well.

Four years ago, there were a minister form Brooklyn, United States made a speech in our church. I realized that there are many children still in starving. What’s worse, they live in a terrible environment filled with dead bodies and (human) bones. I can’t imagine that there was such a place in the world. On that moment, I decided to do something meaningful. Last year, I adopted a 7-year-old girl from Swaziland, but the only thing that I can do for him now is to pay the money per month.
I am gonna make good use of my time in college. In the summer vocation, I plan to be a member of a volunteer organization which goes to the country (Swaziland??_ to help the children. By joining the organization, I can not only help those poor kids in need, but also can I practice my English as well because it is a whole English environment.
