HF Signal Identification Guide
Vernon Mauery’s EMF Exposure Calculator – Every station is now required to have an analysis of the EMF transmitted, this handy calculator makes it easy to get such a thing.
Antenna Feedline Loss Calculator – Feedline loss will almost certainly be a larger factor in lost power than SWR, figure out by how much with this nifty tool.
ARRL Frequency Allocation Chart | ARRL Frequency Allocation List
Pure ERP and EIRP Calculator – What wattage are you transmitting when you factor in the gain of your antenna?
APRS.MENNOLINK.org – See the current APRS repeaters that can hear each other, indicating VHF band conditions and openings.
HamCall.net/GreatCircle – Order a printed map with your point-to-point distance to anywhere in the world, with the direction and major cities.
Amateur Radio License Map – Map the FCC’s listing for any US Ham’s QTH.
Ham Radio Licensee Map – See where a licensee is registered to on a map, with surrounding licensees.
APRS Software: Is free software that allows you to visually track and communicate with people using Amateur Radio (”Ham Radio”) equipment. During an emergency, it can be used as a location aware tactical communications tool. It is mostly used as a tool for tracking people and assets on a map, although it is capable of so much more.
ECHOLINK: Software allows licensed Amateur Radio stations to communicate with one another over the Internet, using streaming-audio technology.
WSJT-X Improved: Is published by Uwe Risse, DG2YCB. It is an enhanced edition of the excellent WSJT-X software by Joe Taylor K1JT, Steve Franke K9AN
HAMIC: The Ham Intelligent Calculator, also called Hamic, is a program designed to simplify a number of calculations commonly used by Amateur Radio Operators
EZNEC Antenna Software: All features which were available in EZNEC Pro/2 v.
External calculating engines - Both EZNEC Pro/2+ and EZNEC Pro/4+ can use external NEC-4.2 and NEC-5 programs for calculations. After installing EZNEC Pro/2+ or EZNEC Pro/4+, open the manual (Help/Contents) then open the Reference/Additional Information/Calculating Engines topic for detailed information about these and how to get them.
Individual wire loss - Each wire can have different loss if desired.
Improved NEC format file reading - A number of deficiencies were addressed and corrected.
Plot display enhancements - Line widths and object sizes can be changed in the 2D, 3D, SWR, and View Antenna displays.
Charge density table - New Options menu selection to optionally add charge density data to the Currents table.
Example files and Test Drive updates - Example files have been updated to replace MININEC type ground with Real, High Accuracy ground where MININEC ground isn't needed. The Test Drive tutorial has been updated to use the new files and to show values consistent with them and the use of the internal NEC-2D calculating engine. Original versions of example files which were changed are in a Legacy subdirectory.
Undo Calculating Engine Change - Certain features are automatically enabled or disabled, and items such as a second ground medium can be deleted when changing calculating engines. So calculation engine changes can now be undone or redone.
Wire Segment Intersection Conversion - Descriptions containing wires intersecting at segment junctions can automatically be converted to the now-required wire end connections.
