ABOUT US
In 1870, Kappa Alpha Theta (sorority) had a mission to incorporate a social organization, typically exclusive to women, that is a part of the Greek system which was founded on the principles of sisterhood, academic achievement, community service and social development. The sorority was first founded at DePauw University in Indiana, but in 2007, they were established at James Madison University. This sorority has four founders who are Bettie Locke Hamilton, Alice Allen Brant, Bettie Tipton Linday, and Hannah Fitch. Kappa Alpha Theta has approximately 200 active members currently at James Madison University.
