Paddington's Waterway Advenutre

The Queue

Located at the back of the park, guests can find a larger house that leads to the entrance of the latest Paddington attraction. Upon entering the house, guests are first met with the large foyer of the house, complete with a hat rack of Paddington’s hats, and the full house smelling like Marmalade. The queue winds quests through a few rooms of this house with little gimmicks and references to Paddington before leading to the bathroom, which has been flooded causing the floor to sink out. This acts as a loading platform for guests. Like the flooded bathroom scene in the first movie, the guests “escape” in boats that look like bathtubs.

The Ride

The bathtubs then leave the bathroom and enter Paddington train station. The boats travel past a Paddington animatronic waving at the guests in the boats saying hello to all of them. The boats then leave the train station to arrive at Windsor Gardens, and see the iconic 32 colourful houses that adorn the road, complete with the house where the Brown’s, and Paddington, live. The windows of the houses contain screens allowing guests to take a look inside at the activity of each of these houses, including seeing what antics Paddington is up to. At the end of Windsor Gardens, the boats pull into the Portobello Road Markets, where shops are lined up on either side of the boat with delicious smelling food always ready to go. Guests can see a Tea House, a few bakeries, and a small coffee shop before getting to the corner of Mr. Gruber’s Antique Shop. Guests turn into the antique shop where they can find all sorts of toys, snacks, and other references to when the shop was seen in the movies. A screen based Mr. Gruber can be seen behind the counter and waves at guests and wishes them luck on the rest of their journey, including a quick Grand Tour! The Grand Tour comes up next as guests exit the antique shop and enter a mini-London. Guests sail through London as they pass miniatures of multiple London landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, The Eye, Tower Bridge, and more. This pulls guests to a stop in front of St Paul’s Cathedral, and a final Paddington bear animatronic is there waiting for guests. “Thank you for joining me on the adventure today! I hope I see you around London again soon sometime!” And with that, the boat heads back towards the unloading platform.

(NOTE: With Paddington 3 being released later this year, it would be included in this ride as well once more is known)
