Notate Major and Minor Scales, and their Key Signatures in any key using Treble and Bass. clef.
Here I transcribed by ear the into riff to Welcome To Bucketheadland which uses a treble clef and is in the key of D major. I also transcribed the riff into an alteration in the key of D minor as seen after, ending on a f chord instead of the neutral sound of the g5 chord, as the difference between the two scales if of course the third note being flat in minor as F rather than F# emphasising this - taking away any notes of F# or flattening them in the minor alteration.
2. Notate Rhythms for specified Time Signatures.
Here I transcribed by ear a few drum verses from The Dance Of Eternity which is performed in a vast range of tempos, time signatures and polyrhythms - performed by David Portnoy of Dream Theater.
The bars alternating between different lengths of 5/16 and 7/16 in the drum verses.
3. Keyboard skills.
Here I played the c major scale and c harmonic minor scale. Followed by arpeggios in two octaves (left hand and right hand). Followed by a 7th chord (C7).
Further evidencing with modes and notation - work from theory sessions at exeter college.
