Synth - Rock Soundtrack
Improvements: Improvements to be made would be expanding the duration of the song and just finishing it - there was much more room for me in the creation of the song however with the initial recording I did not think ahead with the structure.
Added MANY synths to the song - the intro opening up with multiple harmonies on top of each other which builds up through the song to add that iconic synth-rock 80s sound. Opening the song with two harmonised pick scapes on guitar - thematic for the style of playing at the time. With a tapping guitar melody being outputted from each sided of the speakers panning at 30 on each side to add dimension. With a structured 80s pop bass line under with some slightly distorted drums. Soaking the entirety of the song in different levels of reverb and delay to create that futuristic and spacious tonality of the 80s. For the vocal line of the song - I sung out repeated melodies and phrases before replicating so on guitar, slowly building up throughout the ascension in the tapping melody behind it and falling down at the end once more - achieving the sound of the lead guitar by applying layers oh phasers and echo - eq'ing to sculpt the sound. With the end sound actually being two guitars pickscraping from the pickup section of the guitar back and forth in a sort of turn tables manner to get that specific sound.Â
