Moral motivation: experimental evidence
The lecture will discuss the nature of moral motivation and how it can be studied in experiments. We will discuss what people consider fair, how they handle second-best fairness consideration, the role of efficiency, and freedom perspectives. We will also discuss how moral motivation interacts with selfish considerations.
Moral motivation: global perspectives
The lecture will discuss recent evidence of how moral motivation differs across the world, and how to understand cross-country differences in preferences and beliefs.
