Physicians generally should not treat themselves or members of their immediate families. Professional objectivity may be compromised when an immediate family member or the physician is the patient; the physician’s personal feelings may unduly influence his or her professional medical judgment, thereby interfering with the care being delivered.
- We will allow rxs for family members as long as our processing requirement is met.
- we will not allow “Office Use” ordering on our regular websites as we will follow CIPA guidelines to ship medications for personal use only, up to 90 day supply and on valid rx. If a Dr wants a smaller quantity of a medication for office use, they will have to prescribe for a patient.
- We will have no restrictions on doctor’s office ordering otc items.
- Doctors can only prescribe within their scope of practice.
