Climara and Estraderm

Estradiol transdermal skin patches are used to treat certain symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes, and vaginal dryness, burning, and irritation. This medication is also used to prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis, or to treat ovarian disorders.

Climara and Estraderm not interchangeable, Although both have the same active ingredient and same rate of release/24 hr. The Climara Patch lasts longer than the Estraderm Patch (7days vs 4days). Therefore, the directions for use of one will vary from the other.
