Mentally preparing and envisioning the throw
Entering the circle, setting up for success by calming down and thinking about what needs to be done
Beginning the throw from a low squat, left arm extend and shot pressed into neck with elbow high.
Starting the throw from a taller start, left arm extended and shot pressed into neck with elbow high.
A staggered stance with the right foot dropped back
Beginning the throw with a press and rotation over the left foot, chest is upright and slight bend of upper body
Sweeping out of the back, the left side opens up into the throwing direction
A slower, and wider sweep of the non-throwing side leg, left arm is up pointing down the left sector line.
The flight phase of the throw, the athlete drives into the middle of the circle, when the right foot lands, the athlete then rotates around on a bent right leg.
Coming out of the middle transition, the athlete is in the standing throw position. Both feet are in contact with the ground and the athlete will put the throw, by rotating and pushing into the direction of the sector.
A slight block with the left leg, the arms push the shot out away from the chest, and track behind the ball with the thumb down.
The reverse is done to keep the athlete from falling out of the ring and fouling.
