In module 4, it was just actually focused on the assessment for learning or the formative assessment, the feedback and also the validity and reliability of an assessment. As a future educator, I could say that conducting formative assessment is very important because in this way, we are able to monitor students progress. Also, we can provide timely feedback which can help the learner understand or identify their strength and weaknesses, providing them opportunity to improve their learning strategies and make necessary judgements. Also, if you are a teacher it is very important to make sure that the assessments are valid and reliable. Why? Because valid and reliable assessments provide teachers with accurate information about student learning. It will help them make decisions regarding instruction, and will be able to identify the students' strengths and weaknesses that need further attention.Â
