Assessment as Learning is very important in assessing our students. In order to help our students to improve, we must always evaluate what's the best strategy that we use to assess them. With this, we can help not only our students but also us future educators and teachers to evaluate ourselves if the assessments that we give for our students are effective or not. I believe that assessment is more than just a grade. Because grades are straightforward, rather than assessment is more broader that may include; feedback, learning tool, sparks students interest, personal growth.
Assessment helps students to know and evaluate if there are improvements and areas that need more understanding. The next one is that assessment can be a learning tool. The tool that can cater the needs of every student's misconceptions and questions. And thus gives students the motivation to engage inside the classroom. With these, students will definitely deepen their understanding. The third one is that assessment should always spark the interest of our learners. We should always keep in mind that learners are diverse, they have their different ways on how to learn. As an effective teacher, we should always give assessments that can help students with what they want. Lastly is our learners personal growth. Assessing our students should also help our students to grow, not only intellectually but also through physical and spiritual aspects.
