From Curiosity to Deep Learning describes ways teachers can build personal digital inquiry into instruction, but it also describes the learning journey of the three authors, Julie, Beth, & Karen. The book study activities are designed for you to move beyond the book and put ideas into action. Three types of activities included in this book study guide encourage you to discuss, consider, and implement ideas from the book. Each chapter has at least one of each type of activity.

• Talk It Through: These kinds of activities prompt thinking and reflection, then encourage you to share these ideas and listen to others.
• Try It Out: Think about the ideas presented and then try out a print or digital tool described in the chapter.
• Think About It: Consider, reflect, ponder your own experiences as connected with specific ideas or suggestions from the chapter.

While you’re reading the book, consider recording thoughts in an interactive notebook or on sticky notes to leave as tracks in the text. This can be a record of your own journey as you learn and grow as a teacher. However you choose to interact with the ideas in this book, we hope, even in a small way, that the book study guide helps you move closer towards the type of teacher you strive to become.
