The cost can be one of the most important factors to consider when exploring your program options. Research how the program type, location, housing, local transportation, and other factors might influence the overall costs of a program. Funding your study abroad experience will often come from multiple sources, including scholarships, financial aid, and your personal finances. Study abroad scholarship application deadlines often fall before or on the same day as the program application deadline. Be sure to research and apply for scholarships as early in the process as possible. Additionally, consult with a financial aid advisor in the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) to discuss your financial aid package and how it will apply to your study abroad expenses. The amount of financial aid applicable to study abroad will depend on your individual financial aid package. Learn more about funding your study abroad program on the Program Costs page.
Because this program is sponsored by the University of Illinois, financial aid can be applied to the cost of the program. The amount of financial aid that is applicable to study abroad will depend on your financial aid package. Since there are many variables that determine how your financial aid package applies to study abroad, it is best that you consult with a financial aid advisor in the Office of Student Financial Aid to discuss your individual financial aid package.
