Stories and Dialogues

Insight, I believe, refers to the depth of understanding that comes by setting experiences, yours and mine, familiar and exotic, new and old, side by side, learning by letting them speak to one another. The human species thinks in metaphors and learns through stories.

The stories presented in the link below, were elicited, shared, captured and learned from using the facilitated Sharing Lived Experiences Process outlined in the Partnering for Research Guide. These examples offer an inquisitive learner a closer look at the experience of managing multiple chronic conditions. Each person gave permission to share their stories in hopes they will be transformative for others.

What matters most to you when you share a lived experience with others?

Read the lived experiences that were generated in response to the question: What Matters Most When Managing Multiple Chronic Conditions? Read the dialogues that describe what other CIRCLE members learned and wish others to remember from the experiences they heard. If you wish to download the stories, save them as PDFs to preserve the formatting.

Ancient spirals represent the

winding journey inward

we must take if we’re to

truly know & love ourselves.

From that journey,

we return with more

power and wisdom.

Your Speed Doesn't Matter.

Forward is Forward.

The turtle art was provided by Annie of southern California. She joined CIRCLE while undergoing palliative care and inspired us all to learn and continue to grow in wisdom and personal power to advocate for ourselves and others, laugh, love and live well. Her contributions and wisdom will be in our hearts forever.
