The International School of Tanganyika, and Tanzania in general, has been a wonderful place for our family both personally and professionally. We have loved living by the beautiful Indian Ocean, vacationing in Zanzibar and going on safari in the Serengeti. We adopted our beautiful daughter here. And as the secondary school Teacher Librarian, I have had a level of autonomy, numerous leadership opportunities, a great staff and a healthy library budget unlike anywhere else I have ever worked. The school has been a community to us as well as the place we work, and fostering that sense of community for others has been important to me. We have spent five years living and working in Tanzania, which is the current term limit the Ministry of Labour will allow us to stay. So we are trying to make the most of our time left and start thinking about what's next for our family.
