REFERENCE SERVICES
ASK A LIBRARIAN
A chat based/face to face library service wherein the student/teacher can interact with the assigned librarian that will respond to the queries given. The librarians can answer Ready Reference Questions; providing Reader‘s Advisory Services; Bibliographic Verification and other matters related to the library. They can chat the librarians directly or thru the library email pcslibrary2022@gmail.com. MS Teams will be used as platform for this service since it is the Learning Management System utilized in the Paco Catholic School.
Other services under Ask A Librarian:
Research Consulations - these provides students and faculty the assistance for in–depth coaching on the use of library collections.
Scheduling/Reserving Services - scheduling with the use and setting up of Audio-Visual Rooms and other facilities; use of the computers (Internet Services); providing referral letters (Interlibrary Services); and book reservations.

DOCUMENT DELIVERY SERVICE (DDS)/SCANNING SERVICES
A library service wherein library document can be electronically delivered to the client. This service handles articles and book chapter requests from journals, e-resources, printed books and other resources available at the PCS Library, as well as open access databases. Please keep in mind that request should not be for the entire book or journal but for parts/articles. Patron/client may include the title of the article/chapter/journal where it appeared, the place and date of publication, page numbers to be requested, and other pertinent details at the Specific Request field. These documents requested through the Document Delivery Service will be sent electronically via email. DDS is only exclusive to bona fide which includes the PCS faculty, students, and non-teaching staff.
Request for materials/resources should be done online using the “PCS Document Delivery Service Form” (https://bit.ly/PCS-DocumentDeliveryService).
Library materials request will be ready 1-2 days from the date of the request.
Once the materials/resource are ready the librarian will send the request thru the email of the requestee/client.
After providing the materials needed by the client, they are instructed to fill-in the Library Service Satisfaction Survey https://bit.ly/PCSServiceSurvey.
ONLINE PUBLIC ACCESS CATALOG
An online database of materials and resources available in the library. The client can check if the library has the resources that he needed. The Paco Catholic School utilizes MySophia Library Management System.
