The Wildlife

With thousands of species present in Costa Rica, there is of course only so much that can be observed and photographed during a short trip such as ours. In all we saw over 240 different species of birds and numerous other animals, with photographs on this site of about 200 species overall. We of course saw hundreds of different plants and fungii, some of which are featured here.

The majority of the photos we took are of birds, with 40 families and over 150 species so far identified from the photos we have taken.
