Early Level 3

I can use a range of different ways to brainstorm and can write in paragraphs including using order or joining language.

My writing has an introduction with a variety of hooks and a simple conclusion.

I can use a variety of technical language, precise verbs and adjectives or language features (similes, alliteration, personification) which matches the purpose and voice of the intended audience.

I can write carefully crafted sentences which includes a subject, verb and adverbial phrase, and I am beginning to explore different tense.

I can use a colon and then commas or bullet points for lists.

I can use correct punctuation for speech/dialogue.

I can spell using all the vowel teams, spell homophones, and I can add prefixes and suffixes, including making words plural.

I can write using controlled legibility, consistency and quality.
