The author's publications

Ariel Français is the author of research and publications on issues of industrial policy, land use planning, employment and development in general, including work on the newly industrialized countries. He published, in particular:

· Le Brésil et les grands pôles économiques du nord (Brazil and the Big North Economic Poles), Cahiers du CEPII, Centre d’études prospectives et d’information internationale ,1980.

· La semi-industrialisation (Semi-industrialization), with Claude Courlet and Pierre Judet, Institut de recherche économique et de planification du développement, Université des sciences sociales de Grenoble,1981.

He has also written papers on nuclear deterrence and on the defense policy of the political left, published in the Cahiers du CERES under the pseudonym of André Riel.

The Decline of the Nation-State

He is also the author of a research on the decline of the nation-state in the context of globalization, presented at a lecture at the University of Havana, which earned him the title of Visiting Professor. UNESCO subsequently published this study within the framework of its MOST program:

Radical Islam and New Imperial Order

His first essay deals with the rise of radical Islam and its confrontation with the new imperial order. This essay - an attempt to read one of the obscure faces of globalization - focuses on the issue of power and domination within our societies, where the fight against terrorism serves as an alibi for the generalization of security policies and liberticidal measures. It was written and published in French under the title of:

· Islam radical et nouvel ordre impérial: La menace totalitaire (Radical Islam and New Imperial Order: The Totalitarian Threat), L 'Harmattan, 2007.

Memories of Cuba

His second essay is an autobiography combining his memories of Cuba with a historical analysis of the "periodo especial" (the special period, called as such by Fidel Castro) and a personal reflection on the scope and future of the Cuban revolution. Ariel Français was the United Nations Representative in Cuba from 1994 to 1999. This essay was written and published in Spanish under the title of:

· Memorias de Cuba: Logos y fracasos de la revolución cubana (Memories of Cuba: Successes and Failures of the Cuban Revolution), CreateSpace, 2012.

Let's Get Rid of Growth!

His third essay deals with growth, development and the building of a better world. This provocative and committed book focuses on the dead ends of the growth process, on the need to reverse our priorities and on the paths to be taken to build a better world. It emphasizes the imperative to move away from capital-led globalization. This essay was written and published in English:

· Let's Get Rid of Growth! : Moving Away from Capital-Led Globalization, Our Future World, 2016.

My View on the World

This book compiles in chronological order all the papers and notes published on my blog and on my website, as well as certain significant passages from previous works relating to major situations or events of the last twenty years. He gives you "My View" on the burning news that will permanently mark this emerging century. It was written in French:
