"Kudret Demir School"

Kudret Demir School(KDO) which entered service in 1997-1998 academic year consists of 21 classrooms, 1 laboratory, 1 sports room, 1 STEM and Robotic LAB, 1 multipurpose conference hall, 1 kindergarten classroom. The area where the school is located at 3500 m2. This area has a school building, a kindergarten building, a school garden. There are open basketball and a volleyball court in the school garden. There is also a garden and playground belonging to kindergarten students.

In the scope of the Fatih Project, interactive boards were established in all the classes and teachers' rooms of the school. There are 32 branch teachers and 2 kindergarten teachers in the school. The number of students in our school is 651. The location of our school is in the city centre and in a decent neighbourhood socio-economically.

*Our school has hosted TUBITAK 4006 Science Fair with 75 projects in 2016.

*For 3 - May 2018, another TUBITAK 4006 project realized.

*KDO has Mountaineering and trekking Club. This school club every year organize trekking and camping activities to the KULA-

SALIHLI GEOPARK. Also organizes Pottery making workshops with volcanic soil

*KDO's ERASMUS + KA101 project "Learning with Robots" was accepted in 2017. Within this project, school teachers receivedtechnical and pedagogical training in the use of robots in STEM courses at the course centres in Hungary and the UK.

*Zafer Development Agency is entitled to technical support for "Wooden Toys and Carpentry Training for Technology and Design Teachers" within the scope of the 2017 TECHNICAL SUPPORT PROGRAM, and as a result of this training Technology and Design Teachers trained in the school.

* KDO was awarded as 1st in RobotAfyon National Robot Contest on 29.10.2017.

*KDOl represented TURKEY as the only public school in the international "ROBOCHALLANGE ROMANIA" tournament held on 3-5 November 2017 in Romania and got 1st and 3rd grades(sumo category)

*KDO is doing GEOHERITAGE AWARENESS DAY in shopping malls located in Manisa Salihli for young people to increase awareness about GEOPARKS

*Now in the school, these projects are being conducted with the effective participation of the whole school
