Lodi is a small city, the provincial capital, but rich in history, culture and traditions.The city was founded in 1158 by Federico Barbarossa, following the destruction of the ancient village of Laus Pompeia, formerly a Roman municipium, bishopric In the 21st century, the city is an important industrial center in the sectors of cosmetics, handicrafts and dairy production. It is also the reference point of an area mainly devoted to agriculture and livestock.
Activities related to the tertiary sector and tourism are also developed: Lodi is one of the cities of art in the Po Valley and offers as its main starting point the presence of some important monuments.
STUDENTS and TEACHERS:
learned how to play Italian traditional instruments
-got to know traditions and special days, appreciating commonalities and differences
tasted different flavours as different from theirs and changed their ideas about different cooking styles

They had the chance to get in touch with Italian monuments which are part of our global heritage.
PUPILS /TEACHERS took delight in the great monuments, customs, music, Christmas market, tastes and commune with the unrepeatable human intellect. They are proof of an important exchange of human principles, they have an outstanding universal worth and they are part of our common heritage of all mankind.This experience has demonstrated the importance of knowing the roots of our culture, to build strong relationships.
In fact, experiencing cultural exchanges allows us to understand that our culture is our future
