2019 Municipal Endorsement Process
As part of Our Revolution Somerville's mission to transform local politics and elect progressive leaders, we have invited all candidates for municipal office to complete our questionnaire and participate in our endorsement process. The mayoral and city council candidate questionnaire can be viewed here, and the school committee questionnaire can be viewed here.
To be considered for endorsement, candidates were asked to submit their responses to the questionnaire by July 1. Once available, their responses to this survey will be published below.
On Wednesday, July 24 we held a candidates’ forum jointly with Somerville Stands Together, Jobs for Somerville, Climate Coalition of Somerville, and Union United at the Somerville City Club. After the forum, eligible ORS members can vote on which candidates to endorse in 2019. Candidates who receive at least two thirds of the vote will be endorsed, and will receive support from our organization. Endorsed candidates will also be eligible for endorsement from Our Revolution National, which can provide support with its own tools and resources.
