The Medical School is situated on Missionvale Campus Nelson Mandela University and is located within the Chemistry & Physics Building.
The programme shall extend over at least six (6) academic years of full-time study and currently there is no programme for part time medical studies in Nelson Mandela University
Students are required to complete a three-week Medical Elective at the end of their fifth year, before they may proceed to their final year of study
Students are required to register with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) every year. An HPCSA registration fee is incurred in the first and final year of study and will be factored into the student fees. The Medical School will facilitate the registration with the HPCSA
