What is the difference between Pre-enlistment, Enlistment, and Enrollment?
PRE-ENLISTMENT
is when you declare the courses you will take in the next term. This is to help the faculty offer the needed courses and estimate the number of expected enrollees in those courses.
ENLISTMENT
is when you add your desired courses, ideally the ones you pre-enlisted for, to your cart and reserve a slot in that course.
ENROLLMENT
is when you pay for the course you enlisted for and become a student on the said course officially.
Steps in Enlisting your Classes:
(1) Pre-Enlistment
Pre-enlistment gives the admin an idea of how many students will enlist in a class, helping them to estimate how many sections they will open for the Enlistment period. Students are usually given a week to pre-enlist — this is enough time for everyone to add courses to enlistment in the Animo.sys website.
STEP 1: Visit the Animo.sys website (http://animo.sys.dlsu.edu.ph).
STEP 2: Click "Self Service".
STEP 3: Click "Course Enlistment".
STEP 4: Click "Add Course to Enlist".
STEP 5: Input the courses you will be taking in the next term. Refer to your flowchart here (access Google Drive with your DLSU email).
1. Click on the "Lookup Course ID" icon
2. In the Look Up pop-up window, specify the course code you want to enlist in:
a. For Undergraduate students, type the first two characters of the course code in the 'Subject Area' textbox, then type the last five characters the course code in the 'Catalog Nbr' textbox.
EX. Subject Area: CC
Catalog Nbr: PROG1
b. For Graduate students, type the first three characters of the course code in the 'Subject Area' textbox, then type the last four characters of the course code in the 'Catalog Nbr' textbox.
3. Click the "Look Up" button to display the Search Results.
4. Click on the course that you want to enlist in.
5. If you need to enlist in additional courses, click on the plus (+) icon. Repeat steps 1-4.
6. Click the "Save" Button.
(2) Enlistment Steps
Before Enlistment
STEP 1: Participate in the pre-enlistment period. This way, you are sure that you are not taking someone else's slot when you enlist for a class.
STEP 2: On your MyLaSalle Account, click on "View Clearance". Make sure that you have no pending clearances from the different offices.
STEP 3: Plan your schedule. You may visit the course offerings through this link: https://enroll.dlsu.edu.ph/dlsu/view_course_offerings
STEP 4: Log into your Animo.sys account. Click on "Self-Service" > "Enrollment" > "Enrollment: Add Classes".
STEP 5: You will be asked to enter a class number in your cart. The class codes can be found on the course offerings page mentioned above.
STEP 6: Once you have entered the class number of your desired section, click "Enter", then click "Next". Repeat this for your other classes by clicking on "Add Another Class".
STEP 7: After you have added all your desired classes, wait for your enlistment schedule.
During Enlistment
STEP 1: On your enlistment date, it is highly suggested to log in to your Animo.sys account early.
STEP 2: Once it is your time to enlist, ensure that all your classes are still available. Then, click "Proceed to Steps 2 of 3" and then, "Finish Enrolling".
STEP 3: You will be led to a final screen showing all your successfully enlisted classes.
STEP 4: During the enlistment period, you will still be given the option to add, swap, and drop classes. You can find these under the enrollment tab in Animo.sys.
STEP 5: Dropping of classes is still 100% refundable on the first week, 90% on the second, and 80% on the third week. Classes will not be refundable after the third week.

What is the current policy on soft prerequisites?
As announced through the OVCA helpdesk announcement dated 22 April 2021 on No Fail Policy during Covid-19 health crisis, the policy of converting all prerequisites to soft prerequisites has expired at the end of Term 2 AY20-21. As such, the implementation of the regular prerequisite rules shall resume starting Term 3 AY20-21 (Semester 2 AY 2020-2021 for the College of Law).
As a reminder about the regular prerequisite rules:
If course A is a Soft Prerequisite to course B, a student may take course B only if he/she has previously taken course A, even if not passed. Hence, a student with a W mark in course A is allowed to take course B.
If course A is a Hard Prerequisite to course B, a student may take course B only if he/she has passed course A. Thus, a student with a W mark in course A is not allowed to take course B.
Can I take electives other than the ones specified/offered to my course?
Yes, you may however please do take note that electives of other courses (not specific to the course of the student) can be taken by a student, with the risk of not being credited for their elective or being dropped to give way to the students of the course.
