Special Weapons and Tactics is responsible for safeguarding the lives of the inhabitants of the Great State of Oklahoma and providing protection, support, security, firepower, and rescue to police operations in high-risk situations, where specialized tactics are necessary to minimize casualties.
Special Weapons and Tactics, led by the Sheriff's Office, is a joint-counter terrorism division consisting of all Law Enforcement Departments listed below;
Oklahoma City Police Department
Oklahoma Highway Patrol
Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office
Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation
