The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, commonly referred to as OCSO, primary duty and responsibility is safeguarding the lives and property of all occupants/inhabitants of the Great State of Oklahoma regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation. Every individual represents the Sheriff’s Office and should act in accordance with our Department's Standard Operating Procedure, State ordiances, and with the following guidelines:

Public Relations: Maintaining positive Public Relations through morals, ethics, honor, and mutual respect. This includes the restriction of vaping, smoking, or ingesting alcohol, illegal substances, vapes, e-cigarettes, or cigarettes when on duty. Vaping and smoking is allowed in the station (not the front desk or cells), locker rooms, or designated smoking areas.
Public Safety: Maintaining an immediate, effective, realistic, and considerate manner when responding to/from calls.
Values: Upholding the Department’s Mission Statement and Operating Procedures with strict interpretation.
Relationship: Upholding and maintaining a positive and honest relationship with Internal Affairs, alongside upholding DPS’ standard for Officer Integrity.
