We have our own Seminary Lesson Manuals. This is available online. Click here: D&C Teacher Manual or click here for the D&C Student Manual.
We follow the Come, Follow Me schedule. This means we teach the Sections that individuals and families are reading that week also.
We have Pacing Guides. These list the lessons for each week. Pacing Guides are on this website as:
The 4-Day Pacing Guide for classes that meet In-Person or Remote (Zoom, etc.) for 1 hour, 4 times a week.
The 5-Day Pacing Guide for classes that are Online, Home-Study, or meet for 50 minutes, 5 times a week.
2025 TYPES OF LESSONS
D&C SECTION LESSONS
These focus on the D&C Sections we are studying that week. They also now include our Doctrinal Mastery lessons - these are no longer separate lessons as in previous years.
LIFE PREPARATION LESSONS
These are brand new to Seminary this year. They are listed at the end of the Teacher's Manual. Their lesson numbers start from No. 164.
These lessons aim to help youth navigate relevant topics such as self-reliance, physical and emotional health, temple and mission preparation, preparing for future education and employment, and other topics. There are one to two life preparation lessons to complement traditional seminary lessons each week. Leaders, parents, and students should consider the opportunity to invite friends to benefit from these unique lessons.
DOCTRINAL MASTERY PRACTICE LESSONS
Doctrinal mastery passages are included in our Section lessons. For example, D&C 6:36 is taught with the lesson for Section 6. However, if these sections fall in our school holidays, we don't get to teach that DM as a lesson. Instead, we can review them in the "Doctrinal Mastery Practice" lessons that you can see in the Pacing Guides.
If you want to practice one each week, we have a suggested DM practice passage listed in the Pacing Guides for most weeks. See our "Doctrinal Mastery" page for ideas to practice Doctrinal Mastery passages regularly.
ASSESS YOUR LEARNING LESSONS
These are lessons which encourage students to explain, reflect, and review. They are now the Assessment part of Course Credit. For more information on these lessons, go to our "Assessments" page.

IN-PERSON CLASSES
In-person classes meet in a home or at the chapel. They usually choose to meet:
4 days a week for 60 minutes, or
5 days a week for 50 minutes.
Class starts as late as possible. To decide a start time, we encourage the bishopric and teacher to meet with students and families at the beginning of the year to discuss family’s needs.
Note: For other class options, see below.
REMOTE CLASSES
Remote classes meet online over a program like Zoom or Teams. They usually choose to meet:
4 days a week for 60 minutes, or

NOTE: If you are using Zoom you will need to use a paid subscription account as the free ones only allow for 40-minute meetings. The paid subscriptions are free to Wards and can be set up through stake or ward leaders. The Seminary teacher is then given the Sign In and Password to use for Seminary classes.
