Funding Sources
So, you've got a plan and you want some money to implement it. It will help immensely if you are a registered charitable trust, or at least an incorporated society. If you are, you can apply to a number of places for grants to help with your trail or facility funding.
Community Net has some excellent resources for community groups- whether you are starting out or need some help along the way.

Ask your local library if they have a subscription for free access to this major funding database. generosity
Access to the database makes it much easier if you are constantly looking for funding, as it lists most (if not all) funders, and you can quickly see when they are open for grants, how much, and who is eligible to apply.
Local sports and gaming trusts - Get to know your local gambling trusts. They are required to give back a certain amount of gambling profits to the community. Generally you must be in their area to be eligible.
