Find A Local Group

There are amazing individuals working on local issues, across the country. Often each thinks they are battling alone. We wanted to create a support network, all working together - swapping ideas, resources or contacts to help achieve local goals.

Some groups are formal incorporated societies or trusts, some are informal social media groups that work together on issues or projects as they arise. Where ever you are located, you can probably work with others in your local area to improve horse riding, get moral support when you're feeling down, or get advice on how to proceed from other locals.

Find your Local Walking Access Advisor

Despite the name, the Walking Access Commission is the body that handles all public access inquiries, disputes, and negotiations. Although they have no powers of enforcement they are a good resource to help understand the legalities of access, and help facilitate meetings.

They also have a fabulous mapping resource - WAMS - Walking Access Maps - which shows all unformed roads, and most tracks and trails.
