AELEC - Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre

A partnership between local, state and national funders, the city of Tamworth invested in a state of the art conference and events centre with a difference to boost their economy. AELEC has been an outstanding success since day one.

Indoor arena:

  • an indoor arena - 40m by 80m with tiered seating for 3,360

  • concourse area that can hold exhibition and trade sites

  • mezzanine area that can take temporary seating or double as a corporate area

  • mezzanine VIP area near a bar, kiosk, and event offices

  • toilets located at both ends, with ticketing box, coffee shop, and event management offices

  • sound and lighting systems

  • broadcasting and judges box overhangs the arena

  • control room overlooks the interconnected sales ring

    • beneath the stadium are undercroft stock holding yards for up to 200 head

Sales ring:

  • sales ring seats 562 with standing room for another couple of hundred

  • sales ring doubles as an indoor warm-up arena

  • lift access from ground level to the concourse that connects the sales rings and arena

Stables:

  • 478 stables – 3.6 x 3.6 in size with sliding doors horse wash bays
