What is kaitiakitanga? How does it relate to New Zealand's estuaries? From Science Learning Hub.
This activity is from Science Learning Hub.
Purpose: I made this resource using organisms that live and grow in the Avon-Heathcote Estuary. This activity allows students to become familiar with estuary organisms and visualise the interrelationships present.
Prep: You will notice that the back of the cards do not match up on the document. They will match when you print 2 sided. Once printed, laminate and cut out the cards.
Directions: Give the cards and a sheet of A3 paper to students. Using the information on the back of the cards, they should be able to construct a food web. They can place the cards on the A3 paper and draw arrows.
