Poetry from the Heart  

Our Secondary  1 students explored what it truly means to show care and respect through words.

In this Level VIA project, students learnt how to craft poems using literary devices such as rhyme, similes and metaphors, while reflecting on communities that matter — migrant workers, family, friends, school cleaners and helpers at home.

Through poetry, they gave voice to appreciation, gratitude and empathy, and learnt that care is not just something we feel, but something we show through our actions. This project encourages students to slow down, notice the unseen efforts around them, and advocate for kindness, respect and shared responsibility in our community — one poem at a time.
