Week 7
I'm continuing my animation lip sync for AEIOU on Mondays throughout the seventh week of my internship. I continue to animate the letter of I. I started animating the letter O once I had finished the letter I. The letter from O is really difficult, and I'm still not done with it before 6 pm. On Tuesday, I continue animating the O and U letters. After I finish the letter O, I dedicate the rest of the day to animating the letters U and O.
On Wednesday, my supervisor and boss called me into a private meeting room. I was given the task of finding a reliable reference, researching more analysis on the blended lip sync and movements, and categorising the vowels and consonants. I also need to look into how to use Blender's auto lip sync feature for animation. I continued my investigation after leaving the meeting room, and I found over a few videos on YouTube like "Improve lip sync by sir Wade." I then discovered how to make use of Blender's Pose Library on YouTube. For some reason, all of the video tutorials are in different versions, therefore I can't find the button to save assets.
Thursday, I continue with another task of research which is to learn more about blending lip sync and the movements. What I learned from the research is how to use and create a pose library in blender, how to rename the files, how to edit the thumbnails, and how to use the catalogues. Besides that, I also watch other videos on the secret workflow for animating dialogue in order to learn more about the workflow of animating dialogue in 3D.
Friday, I continue my research and study more about lip sync. Based on my study, I found out one of the tips is, do not exaggerate the lip movement, especially the pronunciation, the way the words pronounce and the mouth movements is not always the same. I also started to put rigging on a female adult model.
