Week 1
The company has informed us to go report ourselves next week because of circumstances from the company.
Week 2
In the second week of my internship, The company's policies, procedures, and departments are introduced on Monday. On my first day of work, I was given two drawings of the main character, Ana Solehah, and any chibi figure or background. Our supervisor gave us the go-ahead to study a little bit about blender and 3D before the day was up so we could be prepared for tomorrow's test.
Tuesday, at 9 am, we all started to do the 3D test for basic tutorial and we even do practical modelling test, the character were given is a cactus from their game “Fruto Kingdom”, the time for the test is until 12 pm, as for the practical modelling test will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. In a few days, my supervisor will let the interns know which of us will be working in 3D. All the interns were being called to the meeting room during that day. They brief us about all three main projects that are ongoing in the company which is, game, animation and tv Al-Hijrah.
On Wednesday, my supervisor assigned me a new duty, to create a character design for a snail with a deadline set at 12 pm. Upon completing the snail sketches, I received another task: researching motion graphics for Premiere Pro to develop a proposal for comic motion in TV station broadcasting. Furthermore, I was summoned to the meeting room to discuss my upcoming tasks for the week. In the meeting, an additional assignment was given, to search into the personality of Ana Solehah. Additionally, I was required to compile a brief report on the concept of 2.5 animation and submit it before 5 pm.
Thursday, I was called into the meeting room, where I received the news that I had been selected to handle the 3D responsibilities among my fellow interns in the same batch. I found it surprising since another intern, more proficient in using Blender than myself and having not engaged in 3D work for four years, was also considered. After leaving the meeting room, I focused the entire day on acquainting myself with the fundamentals of Blender, searching into animation techniques, and grasping essential tools applicable to my forthcoming task which is animating mouth shapes.
On Friday, I searched for references and tutorials about the 3D animation process, given my lack of experience in 3D animation over the past four years. Consequently, I relied on instructional videos to guide me until I became familiar with the techniques. The specific task at hand involved animating lip sync with the vowels AEIOU. After each stage of progress, I look for feedback from a fellow intern, asking them to evaluate my work and suggest adjustments based on their comments. At this time, my supervisor is from the marketing department, my supervisor emphasised the importance of asking another intern to review my 3D work. Following this process, I could then submit my progress to my supervisor, and once it proceeds, forward it to the boss.
