'Rule of six' operations at Nocton Hub

14 Sep 2020. After reading the COVID-19 Guidance for the safe use of multi-purpose community facilities (published by the Government), the Nocton Hub Working Group is confident that we are already operating the Hub in a Covid secure manner and therefore do not need to make any changes to our policy.

We will review any amended guidance from ACRE, our community network, and will be prepared to amend our procedures if needed when their update is published.

We are currently NOT taking bookings for social gatherings (such as parties). Business meetings (including committee meetings), educational classes (upholstery class and hopefully WI) and ALL exercise related classes are allowed to continue.

The guidance does state that users and hirers of the building are themselves responsible for managing the risks associated with their particular group. We have stressed this at our Covid training sessions with each hirer. We have so far been pleased to discover they have all been giving Covid safety measures some thought and making it a priority to keep their users safe.

All users need to keep to the social distancing rules of 2m, wear masks where appropriate and frequently sanitise hands. The one way system is working very well so far in both the Events Hall and Lounge and the RA are operating safely under their separate rules for licensed premises.

We have also registered Nocton Hub as a venue for the NHS Track & Trace app that will go live in England on 24 Sep so you will be able to 'scan' yourself into the building digitally when you arrive. You can download the app "NHS COVID-19 App" for android and iOS.
