The installation of the chain-link fence was first cited as an HDLC violation on April 21, 2023 after an inspection of the property was done. Per the HDLC Guidelines, chain-link fencing and barbed wire are not permitted fencing types in historic districts. However, this is an empty lot in a rather industrial area and does not appear out of place within the context, Staff leaves the decision to the discretion of the Commission.
